MiSight® Contact Lenses in Frisco, TX

Help Protect Your Child's Vision with MiSight® Contact Lenses

Nearsightedness can make everyday activities challenging for children, from seeing the classroom board to participating in sports. As their eyes grow, their prescriptions may continue to change, increasing the risk of certain eye conditions later in life.

At EyeQ Vision, we offer MiSight® 1-day contact lenses as part of our personalized myopia management program in Frisco, TX. These specialized lenses correct blurry distance vision while helping slow the progression of childhood nearsightedness, supporting clearer sight today and healthier eyes in the future.

What Are MiSight® Contact Lenses?

MiSight® 1-day contact lenses are soft, daily disposable lenses designed specifically for children with myopia, commonly called nearsightedness. They are FDA-approved to slow myopia progression in eligible children who begin treatment between ages 8 and 12.

Unlike traditional contact lenses that only correct blurry vision, MiSight® lenses provide vision correction and myopia control in one convenient option.

Children wear a fresh pair each day and dispose of them before bedtime, eliminating the need for overnight storage or cleaning solutions.

How Do MiSight® Contact Lenses Work?

Myopia typically develops when a child's eye grows too long, causing light to focus in front of the retina rather than directly on it. As the eye continues growing, nearsightedness can become more pronounced.

MiSight® lenses use ActivControl® Technology, a specialized optical design that creates different zones within the lens.

These zones work together to:

  • Correct blurry distance vision for everyday activities.
  • Create a treatment effect that helps slow excessive eye growth.
  • Reduce the rate at which myopia progresses over time.

By addressing both vision correction and myopia progression, MiSight® offers an evidence-based option for managing childhood nearsightedness.

Benefits of MiSight® Contact Lenses for Children

MiSight® lenses provide several practical benefits for children and families:

  • Slower myopia progression: Helps reduce worsening nearsightedness during childhood.
  • Clear distance vision: Supports classroom learning, sports, and everyday activities.
  • Daily convenience: Fresh lenses eliminate cleaning and storage requirements.
  • Freedom from glasses: Gives active children another option for vision correction.
  • Research-backed treatment: Supported by clinical studies evaluating childhood myopia control.

Although MiSight® lenses can slow myopia progression, they do not cure nearsightedness or guarantee that a child's prescription will stop changing.

Is Your Child a Candidate for MiSight®?

Not every child with nearsightedness needs the same treatment. Age, prescription, eye health, maturity, and lifestyle all influence whether MiSight® lenses are appropriate.

At EyeQ Vision, our eye doctors evaluate your child's vision, discuss their daily activities, and review their eye health before recommending treatment. We also provide ongoing monitoring to assess changes in their prescription and response to myopia management.
